OCI A1 rclone

Privacy and Google data use

Updated October 16, 2026.

OCI A1 rclone is a private file-management setup used only by its account owner. It is not offered as a service to other users.

Access and purpose

With the owner’s authorization, rclone accesses Google Drive file contents, file and folder metadata, account identification and storage-quota information. Access is used to list, read, upload, verify, rename, move and otherwise manage the owner’s files as directed by the owner’s configured workflows. Full Drive authorization allows those workflows to work with existing files and folders, not just newly created files.

Authorization and storage

Google sign-in and consent take place through Google. The transfer utility does not collect the owner’s Google password. OAuth credentials and refresh tokens are stored in access-controlled configuration files on the owner’s computers. File contents remain in Google Drive and any source or destination storage selected by the owner. Temporary transfer buffers, torrent metadata, job state and verification records may be stored on the owner’s machine.

Use and sharing

The utility does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising. Data is transferred to Google Drive and owner-selected storage only to perform the configured file-management operations. Files are not made public by this setup. Google user data is not used by the utility to train artificial-intelligence models.

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Control and removal

The owner can stop the transfer services, remove the local OAuth configuration and revoke the application’s access from their Google Account. Revoking access does not automatically delete files already stored in Drive. The owner controls deletion and retention of those files and of local job records and backups.

Contact

This setup has a single owner and no public users. The owner’s support contact is the email address displayed on its Google consent screen.
